Managing client funds is an incredibly serious matter. A property manager should look after and manage client funds appropriately and with extreme care. A service charge budget demonstrates that the property manager has given thought to the management of these funds and considered how best to keep the property maintained with their use.
The service charge budget is the first building block upon which all communication and interaction with tenants is built upon. The budget sets the intention of both how the property will be maintained (both in the short and long terms) as well as how much tenants will be expected to pay.
In short the importance of the budget can be split into these three areas.
