Previous Expenditure

Look back through the history of the development and see what it has routinely spent on a given service. Has the price been fairly stable? Steadily increased? Perhaps there is no clear trend. Whatever this data tells you it gives you a huge signpost and justification of what to budget moving forward. For example if you have routinely spent £500 on guttering repairs for the last 5 years then budgeting the same again could be a safe bet. However you shouldn’t just go on previous expenditure, there is more to consider.
