This training course delivers instruction on how to conduct basic fire door checks under Regulation 10 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
Aim:
To enable those with the responsibility for conducting routine fire door checks to appreciate the purpose and role of a fire door and how to identify common faults in fire doors for remediation.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, you will have gained:
- An appreciation of what a fire door is and its importance in fire safety.
- Knowledge of the main components that constitute a fire door.
- Skills on how to conduct a fire door check using the criteria established in the Fire Safety (England) Regulations: fire door guidance published 19th Jan 23.
- An understanding of how to report defects and options for remediation or replacement of fire doors.
